QUESTION: Where are you located?

ANSWER:  Effective December 1, 2015 our business headquarters will be located at 3936 MARKET STREET, Wilmington, NC.  Our on-site battlefield is under construction but we hope to have it ready for action by mid-December.  We remain available for mobile parties and special events.  Please watch this website and our facebook page for the announcement of our Grand Opening.

Once our battlefield is ready, our regular business hours will be:  Monday through Thursday, 3:00-10:00 PM; Friday and Saturday, 3:00 pm to Midnight; Sunday 3:00 to 10:00 pm.  Open 7 days a week, customers can drop by any afternoon or evening for their adrenaline fix!

Finally, should you want us to host a party at our headquarters, our party lounge is available for your use.  Please contact our office for more details.  Our telephone number is 910.338.1142.

QUESTION:  Do I have to wear any special gear or clothing?

ANSWER:  No. BFLW’s special digital technology is completely safe and may be used anywhere—outdoors or indoors.  We use infrared light just like your TV remote. Players shoot an invisible and harmless beam and there are great light and sound effects.  There are no projectiles of any kind.  No paint.  No mess.  No bruises.

QUESTION:  Do you have to play in the dark?

ANSWER:  No.  Our patented technology uses infrared light just like your TV remote control.  There are no lasers, only tightly focused beams of harmless light that can be used in any type of lighting conditions. Made with marine grade electronics, our phasers are designed to operate even in light rain or showers.  In low light conditions, the gaming guns do put on quite a light show with their colorful muzzle flashes!

QUESTION: What do you mean when you say "Mobile Combat Simulation Laser Tag"?

ANSWER:  We are completely mobile.  Our customers--YOU--pick the location and we bring the battlefield to you.   Games can be held anywhere: indoors and outdoors.  We can setup in a park, a school gym, a banquet hall, a tennis court, a parking lot, or a public street.  We can play day or night.  Rain or shine.  Best of all, our objective-based game scenarios bring the excitement of today's video games to life!  That’s why we like to say, “You bring the guts . . . we provide the glory!”

Our services include a free consultation to determine if your location is suitable for staging a laser combat event.  We’d be happy to review with you venues that might be more suitable for your event should your site not be appropriate.  Some of these venues may charge a fee for reservations.  This would be an additional cost and not reflected in the prices listed in our standard party packages.  Scheduling is dependent on the venue’s availability.

QUESTION:  How far do you travel to stage mobile events?

ANSWER:  BFLW will travel up to two hours outside of Wilmington (or about 150-200 miles depending on the route taken).  There is an additional travel fee depending on the number of miles (distance) we must travel to your event.  The fee would be determined at the time we book with you.

QUESTION:  What is an open play event?

ANSWER:  This is what we would normally do when staging a fundraiser or participating as a vendor at fairs or festivals.  We run missions all day and players (ages 7 and older) pay admission to participate in one of our missions.  Prices are $7-$10 depending on the specific event. We always post the prices at the time of the event.  Missions can run as long as 15 minutes.

One of the most popular objective-driven games is "Domination" but we also play Skirmish and Capture-the-Base. In order to promote the uniqueness of our digital technology and gaming scenarios, we schedule "Open Play" events from time-to-time at selected venues like Battleship Park.  That's why we urge you to watch for upcoming events on our website and facebook page.  This is an opportunity for those of you who love laser tag, paintball, or airsoft to enjoy the excitement and fun of combat sports entertainment at a local park or other outdoor venue.

Call us at 910.338.1142 for more information about Open Play events or if you would like to schedule a Fundraiser or Festival of your own.

QUESTION:  What is a weapon upgrade?  Is there a charge for this upgrade?

ANSWER:  All our phasers, regardless of their size and appearance, can be programmed to emulate 69 historic, real world and fantasy weapons.  We can program your phaser to imitate any/all of these 69 weapons--from science fiction bolters to 18th century muskets!   If you go to the ARMORY tab, you will find more information about these weapons and their specifications. Upgrades are available at the time you order and also during the actual event.  There is NO CHARGE for upgrading your weapon!
